How Do We Do It?
To ensure your piercing experience is enjoyable and safe, all of our in-stock jewelry meets APP (Association of Professional Piercers) standards. We only carry internally threaded jewelry made of the finest materials. We also carry the largest selection of solid 14K and 18K solid gold body jewelry and precious gemstones in Central New York.
Our piercers stay up to date with the ever changing industry standards in health and safety by attending continuing education online and in person, across the United States and abroad. We attend conferences put on by the Association of Professional Piercers, and we have members on staff.
Piercings by John
John has been piercing professionally since 1998. His attention to detail and personal drive to offer only the best led him to open Scarab Body Arts in 2001. Using only the highest quality materials available and continuing his education through the Association of Professional Piercers every year to stay up to date with any and all industry standards and regulations to provide you with the best possible experience. Kaitlin started her apprenticeship under John in 2011. Kaitlin has an eye for styling and loves helping clients curate their piercings. Kaitlin attends continuing education classes through the Association of Professional Piercers and is committed to bringing you the safest, most enjoyable experience during your visit. Kirsten enjoys curating looks that accent her clients' individual anatomy and aesthetic preferences. Always eager to expand her skills, she makes it a point to continue her education by attending seminars and going to the Association of Professional Piercers conference in Las Vegas.
